I'm a John Grisham fan who just got finished reading "The Appeal" and the ending was quite a let-down. It made me think of a couple other novels of his where the villain ends up winning in the end, and justice is not served. Examples like "The Brethren" and "The Rooster Bar". Can any other Grisham fans list off additional books of his like this, where the hero does NOT end up winning at the end of the story?
