Sue | 2723 comments I listened to the audio, narrated by the author, which I think added quite a bit to the experience.

Brammer grew up in Oklahoma, half-Mexican and gay. As an adult he ended up writing what was supposed to be a spoof of an advice column for gay man using the hook-up site Grindr. He quickly found the questions he received were very serious.

He shares a few of the questions in this book - and then uses those questions to tell us about his own life. He shares a LOT of trauma from childhood and early adulthood. He brings so much humor and warmth, so much acceptance of his own past that book felt very lighthearted, but yikes some of the things he went through!

Sue | 2723 comments Sometimes a book will just hit me the right way at the right time, and I think that was the case here.

I agree, this would be a great book for Coming of Age!
