This is the 1st book in the "Maisie Dobbs" series. Have you read any of the other books in this series? Does this book make you want to read other books in the series?

What thoughts do have about the book? Do you think you'll like it? Or is it something you just can't see yourself reading?

I recently read this book after I'd read a number of other books in the series. I did like it, but I thought that it was mainly about Maisie's background rather than about being a mystery. Maisie is a very interesting character though.

Some of the later books in the series are really wonderful. My personal favorite is An Incomplete Revenge which is the fifth book in the series. I'm looking forward to the latest one which takes place on Gibraltar.
