Any other topics you’d like to discuss? Your overall opinion of the story?

I was so angry with Lucas and even more so with Lily, especially at the end. I can see what is going to happen in the next book. 😡

I was ready to drop out of this series, but my cousin and her husband convinced me to wait a little longer. They tell me in book 6 or 7 Lucas' character changes a lot. So I'll continue a little longer. If he doesn't I'm going to make their lives miserable. It will give me my book published in 1995. 😃

Sharon I am siding with you. I thought I would stop reading this series as well as I do not like the person that is Lucas. I am really angry with Lily as well for dismissing her husband to be with Lucas. I am going to be picking up book 3 from the library and hope his character develops a bit more and is not so shallow. I also do not like that he is not an honest cop but thinks outside the law and that he has every right to do that

You both have expressed my thoughts. I find myself wondering how many books I have to get through with this Lucas et al.

I've read ahead in this series and I can say it gets better. I had the same thoughts after this one and was not interested in a series where the cop takes the law into his own hands and beds a new woman every book. This one was a tough read with all of the racism.
