Here is the nominations thread for May 2024!

The book with the most votes will be the book of the month. I look forward to your suggestions!

Just a friendly reminder that it's always a good idea to look over the guidelines if you've never nominated before.

Feel free to nominate a Christian fiction book of your choosing. Do consider nominating an author that we've not read at least in 2022 or 2023. Please follow the guidelines below and also make sure to nominate a book that released AT LEAST three months ago.

PLEASE REVIEW THESE GUIDELINES:
-Please do not nominate a book we've already read as a group in the last three years. You will be asked for a different nomination if you do. Find our shelves here:

2024: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...
2023: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...
2022: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...

-Any author is up for nomination, as long as the book you nominate has not been a group read during 2022-2024, however, try not to nominate an author that we've read this year already. Self nominations are not allowed.

-If it is a book in a series that is not the first book, make sure you know that it can be read as a standalone and doesn't require the previous books being read to understand and enjoy.

-Please note that there may be more reasons that a book is not a good fit for nominations or group members as a whole, whether it be availability, cost, accessibility, etc. The moderators reserve the right to make these decisions. Please know we do our best in making these kinds of decisions, and we're all human. Your patience is appreciated. Thank you for your understanding! :)

Nominations will be open through March 14.

This series can be read as standalones? That's good to know! 🙂

Yes, according to the author, they can be read standalone. I haven't read the ones before this one.

MissyTexas | 248 comments Part novel, part spiritual journey guide. I knew the author long ago, she likely doesn’t remember me, cannot recall ever talking to her. Loving the book, could not find in my library, so tbd if makes the cut to consider. Sensible Shoes A Story about the Spiritual Journey (Sensible Shoes #1) by Sharon Garlough Brown

I think this will count because it will have been published for 3 months by the time 1 May comes 'round, but if it doesn't work, please do let me know!

I don't see "Christian" or "Christian fiction" in the first page of tags, Staci.

No it isn;t - thought it was since it was WWII - so I want to take The Thread off the nominations and nominate a different book that is Christian - He Should Have Told the Bees by Amanda Cox
