Read anything to do with the Middle Ages, fiction or non. Earlier this year I read Femina: A New History of the Middle Ages, Through the Women Written Out of It and really enjoyed it. I will probably find a medieval mystery novel to read in May, as I will also be running my Mysterious MAYhem readathon on BookTube.

Amy (amyml88) | 112 comments I read The Summer Queen, about Eleanor of Aquitaine. I just started the 2nd in the series, but I don't know if I'll finish it by the end of the month.

Edit: Just finished The Winter Crown last week, right under the wire!

I was going to read that one, but then I realized that Lapvona, which I was reading for a book club, had a medieval setting. But the book club was the F***ed Up Book Club, and this one proved to be too f***ed up for my tastes. By that time, it was too late to fit in a complete novel, so I scoured my Audible Plus subscription for something that was short and free, and I came up with Good Masters! Sweet Ladies! Voices From a Medieval Village. It's a collection of interrelated monologues and dialogues for children, the idea being that there are enough parts for an entire classroom and they are all pretty short. It was interesting and informative, with occasional narration providing historical background.

Jacqie | 93 comments Nothing was really speaking to me for this one so I read a book of short stories called The Wild Hunt, which is a medieval concept.
