ok starting today! Hopefully it keeps my interest this time.

ok I'm 10% in. It's all right some of it is interesting - (view spoiler)[the 1 girl missing, 1 dead, and 1 girl found dead, and the metal scarab tying them together. (hide spoiler)] So I don't think the introduction of the American character is necessary, it would have been just as cool of a story, at least as cool of a premise without him.

I found a couple of challenges this works for so I'll be able to stick with it.

(view spoiler)[ I just feel like parts of this book are fun and interesting like chasing the girls through to the secret society, but parts just do NOT have me hooked. The author is just trying to make romantic feels for Pix and Dylan Eckhert and I'm not feeling either. I also thought she was trying to make Mina have a thing for Grambling? Her descriptions of how these ladies feel when any man is around are just off-putting at the moment. I don't even understand why they need a guy to travel in from the future to make the story exciting?
