20.4 Golden Oldies - Hannelore's Task: I Really Like This Bowl

While there are a lot of good gameshows from the Netherlands (where I live), my favourite shows are from the UK. I especially like the creative shows, like The Great British Bakeoff, The Big Flower Fight and The Great Pottery Throw Down.

As this task is centered around creativity, using a book with the MPG “Sequential Art”, “Comics”, “Comic Book” and/or “Manga” for this task is allowed and encouraged.

This is a one book task, choose an option and read one book for that option.
Required: State the option

Option 1: The Great British Bakeoff - My absolute favourite cake is lemon merengue pie. Read a book that is, according to TinEye, at least 50% yellow.

Option 2: The Big Flower Fight - Read a book with multiple flowers clearly visible on the cover. (At least 3 flowers.) Bouquets, flower arrangements and gardens all count
Required: Post the cover

Option 3: The Great Pottery Throw Down - One of the judges from The Pottery Throw Down, Keith Brymer Jones, is known to get teary-eyed when judging a piece that he especially appreciates.

Read a book where the first and last initials of the author(s) can be found in the quote “I REALLY LIKE THIS BOWL”. Letters may only be used as often as they appear. In case of multiple authors, all first and last initials must fit in the quote at the same time.

Bonus task for fun: Go to YouTube and look up “pottery throwdown keith crying”. Seeing him appreciate art and creativity gives me so much joy. You might want to keep some tissues ready.

I had never heard of The Great Pottery Throw Down, but I am so excited that they have it available here in Utah! I am watching it right now. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

i LOVE the great pottery throw down - i just saw there was a new season available - so i'm etting ready to binge watch it

I just wanted to double check that this works for option 2, as the flowers aren't in bouquets, arrangements or gardens. I think it's wallpaper:

Yes! Absolutely. At least 3 flowers are visible, so that means it works.
Edited to add: I'm only judging the book cover here. Please check if the pagecount fits the basic SRC rules, since this version is an ebook... I'm guessing it will work just fine, but just to be sure.

I like this type of show too!
I actually prefer the Pottery throwdown to Bake off these days as Bake-Off seemed to suffer from its own success & become less about the baking & more about the showmanship but that did improve with the most recent series getting back to basics ...
I've never heard of The Big Flower Fight - having looked it up, it seems it's only on Netflix & as I don't have Netflix, that would explain it! There was one called The Big Allotment Challenge that was all horticulture & included floral arrangements too but that only ran for a couple of seasons ...

Yes, I'd say it does. Task asks for at least 3 flowers clearly visible, and the flowers in the front of the field are clear enough to identify as a flower.
