Crime Scene detectives find records that Victoria had a tracking device placed in baby Maeve, unbeknownst to Derek. Now what were you thinking?!?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments Victoria know someone was after her and they may take her baby. The woman was afraid. What didn't make sense was the fact that she was in the public's eye a lot. Whoever was after her had to know where to find her.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I was thinking that Victoria knew there was a very good chance that someone might target her baby.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1808 comments Yes, it was clear that Victoria suspected someone would take her baby as punishment or incentive to continue her spying.

I am still not sure exactly why Maeve was taken. Victoria was already dead so Maeve could not be used as leverage; the baby was given into someone else's care and there was no request for ransom - it is a loose thread.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I agree, Lauren. Maeve couldn't be leverage on Victoria with her dead, but the kidnapper could have thought he could use her to get Derek to continue spying, but nothing ever came of that. I really didn't see why she was taken to begin with.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments She was taken so Hill could find the baby and show he has some good qualities by helping Bertha.

I’m with all of you about why Maeve was kidnapped. It made no sense.

When I learned about the tracking device, I was sure she was being unduly forced into something.

I agree. It was never explained exactly why the killer took Maeve instead of just leaving her there. Since he didn't ask for ransom, there seemed no point to his taking her.

Lol! Sounds about right.
