This is our discussion thread for your final thoughts on Everyone Here is Lying by Shari Lapena. Were you surprised by the ending or did things wrap up like you predicted? Was this your first book by Shari Lapena? If so, would you read more by her? If not, what else have you read and would you recommend them?

Well, well, well! It didn’t end exactly as I thought, but Avery did get the best of Marion, as I predicted. I’m glad Avery eventually got tripped up and now the truth is coming out.

As I said in the last chapters, I have read The Couple Next Door, but I like this one much better. It really kept me involved and the characters were more complex and multi-dimensional than the other book.

I'm not sure if I was completely satisfied with the ending, but I'm not sure how I would have made it any better. With Avery being such a sociopath, there doesn't seem to be much hope for her or her family. I was glad to see that she might not be getting away with everything though.
I did enjoy the book overall. I loved the short chapters and thought it was a very easy read that kept me engaged and wanting to pick it back up.
This was my first Shari Lapena book and I would certainly be up for reading more. Thanks for reading this with me and commenting!
