The Lost Hero discussion

is it just me or is Leo the only interesting hero in this book.jason doesn't have a lot of personality and, piper spends most of the book stressing over something that does not really follow through.the others do not abandon her.also piper is totally a thief.she says she kindly asks but, she has mind control so, it is just theithery. Leo actually has a character arc where he gains self confidence.what do you guys think on this?

uhhhh dude. i mean jason literally doesnt remember a personality? like sure, i get that the words "i don't remember" are said so many times in this book, and all by jason, but i mean really, what else can you expect?

I'm with you. (spoiler alert) Percy also forget his history but he doesn't stop having a personality, Jason and Piper are so bland, I badly wanted to skim their chapters towards the end and I only ended up rating 3.5 because of Leo, he carried the book AND THE GROUP on his back. Especially given that they talk about Jason being so great and all but Leo saves his a** on so many scenes it's ridiculous honestly. The thing is, I love Percy and I was bothered he wasn't in the book mas I wanted to like the book and I wasn't agaisnt new characters. However, I just couldn't get into Jason and Piper at all. Also had some trouble getting into Hazel and Frank mas eventually warmed up to them because there was some substance at least.
