24 Classics for 2024 discussion

I guess I must be one of those black sheep that not only read the alternative, House of Spirits, but found it to be vastly superior to its more illustrious counterpart. For me HoS characters were much more engaging and by the end of the book you felt like you were one of the family rather than being like an observer.
Definitely a book to read if you want an alternative to a book on the reading list.
