Hello Moderators! I just wanted to let you know we have a thread we can chat about group announcements, ideas for the group, or if one of us will be MIA for a little we can alert each other!

Hey Ana! When are you wanting to start a reading challenge? Do you think we should wait till the group gets a little bigger or start planning a reading challenge and we can see what date we want to set it to? Let me know your thoughts on this....

Hey V! I wouldn’t mind starting a reading challenge soon even if we don’t have many members yet because since right now we are only 2 mods there would be only two teams no? So we wouldn’t need so many people right?
Would you want to do a similar challenge to the one we are doing on Cozy Book Nook or something different?

I say we only have Mods as team captains just in case if something happens to a team and we need to take over. We can either think of something new or do something similar to the group!

I agree on only having mods as team captains. We could use the same challenge name and prompts just maybe change team names? We could use parks as well of flower names or something else?

We can still use parks but not use the same ones that are mentioned in Cosy book Nook or we can come up with flower names I am fine with either!

How about using Yosemite and Yellowstone?

LOVE BOTH OF THOSE! Have been to both in real life! If I had to pick my favorite I would say Yellowstone was my favorite!!!! When do we want to start and end the challenge dates?

Yay!! Maybe start it on Sunday, April 7 and end it on Sunday, May 5? That way it would give us about a week and a half for people to sign up. What do you think?

Yes I think that is plenty of time for those who need to see the post and think of what team! Will be also easier since there is only two teams! Trying to think of my random read I want to do!

Have you thought about your Mod read yet?

I have one book in mind but I don’t know if I want to use the same book for both this group and the cozy book nook or if I’ll use two different books 🤷🏻‍♀️ what about you?

Actually I just decided to do two books, one for each group :) for this group I’m going to be reading The Bodyguard. I’ll announce it later and give people time to see if they want to join.

I am still thinking of mine but hopefully here I. The next few days I can make up my damn mind lol.

So can we agree that if we put threads in the Achieve folder, if they have been there for 2 months or more can they be deleted? I am saying this because in all honesty I feel like there is no point in saving those threads if we aren't using them anymore? I think its just more junk and threads taking up more space.

Yeah I can agree with that. After threads have been archived for more than 2 months they can be deleted.

Okay noted! Sorry lately my OCD has been kicking in and like I said nothing against the group it’s just it’s driving me nuts

Hey sorry for not being as active, I’ve had a rough couple of weeks. Last Friday I had to put my cat down because she had an incurable disease of weak bones that she would keep breaking. I’ve just been trying to keep myself busy so I don’t think about it too much.

Oh no! I am so sorry to hear about this. Let me know if there is anything I can do. Take all the time you need and I will monitor the group until you get back. Putting down an animal is never easy but at least she isnt suffering anymore.

For May's BOTM we have a tie currently so what are you wanting to do if we have a tie? Just make the top 2 books winners or have another poll and just add those top two to choose from? Let me know!

I think maybe do another poll and see which of those two books wins. Since we still don’t have many members, I think having two BOTM might be too much?

So I know we have talked about this, but I was hoping one of these books would pull through and win but didn't happen this way. So with that being said we do have a tie between 2 books for May's BOTM. I don't think we have enough time to make another poll especially if we are wanting to read something for the month of May. I say we just have those top 2 books and have people choose what they want.

What do you think? Those choices are: Reminders of Him and The Bodyguard

I have created the threads for those BOTM's! What do you think we should do about people being inactive. Like if we do monitor the group and we see an account that hasnt been active for 6 months or more?

Thanks V! And yeah we could monitor and see who hasn’t been active in at least 6 months and maybe remove them but before we do we should broadcast that we’re about to do it and see if any of them get active again no?

Yes I agree if they have been active for more than 6 months after the broadcast then we can remove them.

Yes in speaking of the recent challenge..... how do we want to announce the winner because I have a feeling alot of people forgot about the challenge.

We could announce it in the sign up page and maybe also on the group announcements.

That would work. Should we give people time to log their books or just go based off the scores as we have now?

I think how the scores are now is fine unless someone finishes another book today since today is the last day of the challenge it would still count no?

I personally don't think it's fair to count them since the challenge pretty much ends today.

How do you feel about Mod reads? I feel like I am personally getting books read and knocking stuff down off my list. Pushes me to read more as well.
