Soon after Gwen tells Sam about her past, she’s taken in for questioning about the woman they found murdered in the lake. Did you think Sam had tipped off the police? What did you make of Javi’s change in attitude? Was Melvin behind any of this? What did you make of all this in the moment? What did you think Gwen should have done?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I didn't think that Sam placed an anonymous tip to the police. I thought if Sam had done that, he wouldn't have done it anonymously. And, this is no surprise to him. He knew.

Javi's attitude was puzzling. He was all for helping her when he thought she was abused, but Mel's ex - burn her at the stake.

It was becoming clear that Mel had an accomplice in Stillwater Lake.

I was really sad that even after getting to know her they both turned on her. Gwen was really alone in this. She does the only thing she can do and that is to try and protect her children.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments No, I didn't think Sam tipped off the police. I thought it was someone local working for Mel.

I can understand Javi's attitude. He knew she was running from something and figured it was abuse. Who wouldn't help her? But then he finds out who she is and knows what she was on trial for. They have a body in the lake that looks suspiciously like the same M.O. as the previous crimes she and her husband were blamed for. And, he works with law enforcement. He can't help her get out of town or he will then be the accomplice.

Gwen did exactly what she should have. She went to the police station and talked to them. They had no evidence that she did anything. The only thing she should have done differently was call an attorney.

I thought for a hot minute that Sam might have done that but to what end? No matter how complex his feelings are for Gwen, he just wouldn’t do this to her kids.

Now Javi was a BIG letdown. He did a 180 in seconds. I’m separating what he had a duty to do as a reserve officer from his attitude. I thought he read people well but ended up proving me wrong. Not a fan.

Melvin orchestrated everything. Deep down, Gwen knew this…not the who and the how…just that he was behind it all.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments I was sure from the get-go that Mel had followers and that someone followed his orders to murder those young women, mostly to get Gwen in trouble.

I was disappointed in both Sam and Javier, too.
