The story ends in a cliffhanger, with Mel escaping from prison, his minions Lance Graham and his psycho sons captured. Your thoughts about what’s next? Are they staying in Stillwater? Are she and Sam a team? How do you feel about cliffhangers?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I think Gwyn will continue to be suspect by some. I do think they stay in Stillwater Lake. Gwyn and Sam have a long way to go to repair the trust he broke with her, but I think they will end up being a team.

When I'm reading a regular series and the book resolving the cliffhanger is two years away, I'm not a big fan of cliffhangers. Reading them one a month isn't too bad and I already have book #2

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I agree with Anita. I think Gwen will stay in Stillwater. At this point she knows the local police, she knows Javi, and she knows Sam. This is more support than she would have while on the run.

Yes, I think she and Sam will end up being a team.

Also agree with Anita about the cliffhanger. I wouldn't like it if I had to wait forever to read the next book. This is the reason I like to wait for most of the books in the series to come out before I actually start reading it. I'm ready to go straight to book #2.

I remember not being sure they’d stay in Stillwater. She’d created some Allie’s now, particularly in law enforcement so she’s probably safer here than anywhere else.

I’m not a fan of cliffhangers but the second book was released by the time I read this.
