When Joseph was 13, he fell in love with a girl and fathered a child. She was named Jupiter, after their favorite planet. A series of events lands him in reform school, and later in a foster home with Jack, who narrates the story of Jack’s first year with them. This is a moving story about dealing with the aftermath of trauma. I recommend this story for anyone who has a particular soft spot in their heart for stories about foster kids. Others might find it too sentimental or sad.
