Discuss The Bazaar of Bad Dreams here. Please mark all spoilers for those reading along.

Ariel Palenik(TheDayDreamingWriter) (thedaydreamingwriter) | 35 comments Hi there Angie! I am actually currently reading “Bazaar Of Bad Dreams” It is an absolutely fantastic book… Without any spoilers, my top favorite short stories so far in it, are, drum roll please, Afterlife, Morality, and The Dune. The Dune is my all time favorite though…

Heather (mushshroomss) | 22 comments I just started the audiobook for this a few days ago. I'm on The Dune

Mark Stattelman | 2 comments I especially love the story "Under the Weather." I just posted about it on my blog a few minutes ago, I was pondering the question of what makes a good horror story and used this story as an example of a subtle story, or narrative that reminds me of an old time ghost story, not realizing that this discussion was going on.

Heather (mushshroomss) | 22 comments I just finished The Dune. That was pretty interesting

Heather (mushshroomss) | 22 comments I'm listening to the audiobook of this and it's cool because the intros to the stories where King is telling how he got inspired to write each story is narrated by himself. I just finished Bad Little Kid.

Couldn't agree with you more. It is my personal favorite so far actually!

That was a pretty twisted story if I do say so myself...

Heather (mushshroomss) | 22 comments Yeah it was a twisted story, I felt bad for the man telling his life story

Louis Christakes | 3 comments Just started today and finished “Mile 81”. Really enjoying the short story format. Haven’t read one in a long while.

I love to get a glimpse into the head of an author. Especially King, of course. It always shows how little inspiration is needed to create great stories.

Absolutely agree. I think that he has an incredible imagination...

Sophie Henry | 1 comments Bazaar of Bad Dreams is a GEM. “The Judge” might be my favorite representation of why I love Steven King. This story truly reminds us what we should be afraid of.

I haven't gotten there yet.... Looks like I have something to look forward to.

Alexandra Y | 10 comments I am just starting Blockade Billy. So far I really like Afterlife, Ur, The Dune and Mile 81!

Excellent! You have great tastes....

Tammy Davis (portia2012) | 1 comments I just added it to my Audible :)

Daniel (dersinn) | 9 comments Great. The sun is shining outside and I find that to be annoying. Stephen King stories tend to go better with thunderstorms and rain. :)

I kind of agree with this.. Nothing like some spooky weather with a sick and twisted story..

Great choice!

Heather (mushshroomss) | 22 comments Yesterday I got through Afterlife and Ur, both really good. Kinda wish I had read Ur on my kindle though lol

Do you have one of the (view spoiler)?

Jeanne | 4 comments I just finished The Bazaar of bad dreams. I have read most of these books already so I listened to the audiobook this time and really enjoyed listening to it. I thought it was very cool and interesting that Stephen King made comments on how he got the idea to write the stories and they were dedicated to. Stephen King has always been my favorite author since I was in middle school!

Panda | 47 comments This was a great choice for this months read.

While I have the hardcover on my bedside stand, where it's been for a very long time, I'm not sure that I ever finished it.

I picked up the audiobook and consumed it so fast, it was like a snack! Delicious!

I also very much enjoyed that Stephen King spoke about his inspiration for each story, before the stories began. I loved the format so much, I am hoping that his new book has a similar format.

The stories were great, enjoyed every one!

Scott | 169 comments Hi Fellow King Readers,

I have finished this month's reading of "Bazaar of Bad Dreams" faster than I expected (mostly because I really enjoyed most of these stories). The link to my review is located below, but I suggest that you may want to finish your reading before looking at it. I don't have any big spoilers, but you might get some hints based on my comments.

Also, I grouped the stories in different categories based on how much I enjoyed them. I fully understand that you may group them differently than I did, and that's okay. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and we may react to a story based on our individual perspectives, personal experiences, and emotional connections. It also makes for great discussions.

To great reading and a good month - best wishes!

Congratulations! Lovely way of stating things by the way...
I won't read your review yet, since I am still reading this book,,, but I hope you enjoyed it.

Heather (mushshroomss) | 22 comments I just finished. I did enjoy this collection but not as much as some of his other story collections. What's weird if I know I've read it before because once I started I remembered the stories but I guess I had never finished because I didn't remember the last few. My favorites were Ur, Obits, The Dune, and Afterlife.
That last story was a good one to end the book on.

Valerie Book Valkyrie | 62 comments Finished this anthology last evening. Please see my review:

Louis Christakes | 3 comments I loved The Dune. Such a perfect story.

Pisces51 I just finished The Dune and Bad Little Boy. Still early in the book. The first story I really liked was Dune.

Ariel Palenik(TheDayDreamingWriter) (thedaydreamingwriter) | 35 comments Pisces51 wrote: "I just finished The Dune and Bad Little Boy. Still early in the book. The first story I really liked was Dune."

Thats's my favorite so far as well. I just finished "Blockade Billy"

Pisces51 I posted my rating and review today. This was not my favorite book of short tales by King. I did love his intros to the stories and there were five selections I loved out of the bunch. I am pleased that I was able to acquire and read this month's King selection by the 30th.

Pisces51 I broke down and bought this book because I was unable to comfortably read the ePub version from the library. I only mention this because it is the second book of King's in a row that I have purchased and regretted it. I feel bad not keeping up with the group reads. I had read Finders Keepers and liked it okay and did not (at the time) have any interest in End of Watch. I have both of them on hold at the library and will read them when I can rent them. I am an "inconstant" reader.

Linda (beaulieulinda117gmailcom) | 1115 comments I prefer his newer works myself

Julia | 223 comments I sometimes feel like an "inconstant" reader myself, mainly because I have already read the group book and don't want to read it again and/or am already reading a King book or other one. At the moment I'm at the end of The Dark Tower series so I don't have any emotional room for other books..
