Here's the place to discuss the 13th book in the My Sister the Vampire series, Double Disaster (a.k.a Fangs for the Memories). Be aware spoilers are allowed in this thread so don't read on if you haven't read the book yet!

I just finished reading this book. It's so lovely! The only thing I could fault is how all the Londoners talk in cockney rhyming slang. I'm from England and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't walk down a London street and hear people talking cockney, possibly in tourist areas or the occasional pub but still...

I loved Brendan in this book and Sophia was so funny. I really enjoyed the character of Will as well (Jackson's body double). Great stuff.

I am soooooo behind on the group read for this book. I'm hoping to read Stake Out (MSTV #12) after the book I'm reading right now, then I'll move straight on to Double Disaster. I'm looking forward to re-reading it after so long and see what I think of it this time around.

I agree with you Sophie about the Cockney stuff, and I really liked Will too. I liked how Sophia got a main storyline in this book and the resolve was cool because it wasn't a cliché 'happily ever after' and Finn didn't turn out to be an undeserving jerk or anything like that either. I feel like the conclusion we got was a lot more realistic. Not my favourite book in the series, but a pretty enjoyable one on the whole. :)

Random question: the alternate title for this book (I don't know if it's the American title or what) is Fangs for the Memories. I've always wondered what this is supposed to mean... is it a play on thanks for the memories? Am I missing something really obvious here?

Hmm. A play on thanks for the memories is an interesting thought. Perhaps something about Olivia and Jackson?

Oh yeah, that makes a bit more sense. Still a weird title though. What was wrong with Double Disaster!?
