Hi there. What is a Bingo board?

message 16: by Lamilla (new)

Lamilla | 818 comments A desk with challenges, usually 5x5. The goal is to get a line horizontally, or vertically, or diagonally or, sometimes, a full board

Example: https://bingobaker.com/#66156c5a691770fe

Oh I like that idea! TY. I'll see what I can develop because I want to try it.

message 23: by D.L. (new)

D.L. | 98 comments ^^ Thank you, everyone!

I started the read-a-thon late (overslept - ugh! lol) but I just read for an hour and have gotten in 88 pages of my book Steal. That also crosses off one of my Bingo squares. How is everyone else doing?

message 24: by Lamilla (new)

Lamilla | 818 comments Wow, you're a fast reader! Congrats on starting strong

I'm in the middle of the second reading sprint, hope to get a full hour of reading as well

message 25: by D.L. (new)

D.L. | 98 comments It's been an unexpectedly busy day at my house so I haven't gotten to read as much as I would like, but now things are getting quieter, thank goodness!

I have finished Haunted and I believe I will complete Steal in the next couple hours, barring more interruptions lol

message 26: by Susy (new)

I did have a wonderful time. Your cabin getaway inspired me too. I talked to my mom and she says we might rent a little beachside motel room next time there's a readathon for a little escape. We'll see!

D.L. | 98 comments Closing Survey

How many books did you read during this readathon? Did you have any favorites?

I finished 2 books. Both were great. My favorite was probably Haunted by R.L. Stine but I also really enjoyed Steal by James Patterson and I'm sad it's the last book in that series.

Did you accomplish your goals for this readathon?

Not exactly because I wanted to read a few more books. But I had a nice time just the same, reading and sharing progress reports and chatting with other friendly participants. I had a lot of fun and that's the point, right?!

How did your snacks and meals work out? Are there things you would change about the food and beverages side of your readathon for next time?

I think I would pre-prepare food next time so I wasn't running to the kitchen so much to heat something or scrounge around in the cupboard. Plus we had a grocery delivery smack-dab in the middle of the readathon and that meant putting away food took away time from reading!

Did you enjoy this readathon? What was the most successful part of your readathon? What would you change for next time?

I had a blast! The most successful part was meeting lots of awesome new people and getting reacquainted with old friends! I also enjoyed just reading for fun! Next time I would get a good night's sleep beforehand so I would be all rested and ready to go. And as mentioned above, I would prepare my food in advance. And I think if I can arrange it, I will plan a getaway to the beach or something so I can really read in peace and comfort.

Will you be continuing your readathon reading past the end of our official readathon?
I would if I could, but I'm going to be a book club event today!!

Hi D.L.!
No rented cabin for me this time around either.
I see you're reading a Christie novel. I just finished The Labours of Hercules, almost always have a Christie on my TBR.

Hope you're having a great readathon!

I truly hate the GR app. If it weren’t for Vicki’s comment I wouldn’t have seen your art work (well, up until the Readathon that is, cause then I’m always on my laptop).
It’s gorgeous D.L.! Looks way more professional than mine 😍

That’s Canva I’m guessing?
