juju i have been on a major reading slump and nothing seems to get me through it. i'm looking for fun wlw reads that are fast paced. would love a bit of fantasy or sci-fi in it, but anything goes as long as it's good and fun

Marilyn | 2 comments Based on your reading list, I think you would really enjoy Fletcher DeLancey's spec-fic Chronicles of Alsea series. The first in the series is The Caphenon. There is no risk of a continuation of your reading slump with this, just the likelihood of the world's worst book hang-over when you finish. :)

Sabi.Nhe (bellydee) | 9 comments I LOVED all the dead lie down by Kyrie McCauley, and My Dearest Darkest by Kayla Cottingham. These are spooky reads (I adored them), and The Last Girl Standing by Jennifer Dugan...also spooky lmao but like, serial killer spooky.

Scarlette Josie (scarlettereads) (scarlettereads) | 5 comments If you like contemporary romance with some sci-fi elements I recommend One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston. It's my all time favourite book. I've read it so many times and it genuinely only improves with each read. It's a true banger.

Rak🌻🧚🏾‍♀️✨ | 3 comments Navigating with you by Jeremy Whitley is a really cute graphic novel with complex characters that feel real. I highly recommend it!

Scarlette Josie (scarlettereads) (scarlettereads) | 5 comments I second Navigating With You if you like graphic novels. It's fantastic!

Josiris Díaz | 1 comments I love Kristen Arnett. Great writer and I’ve had the pleasure of meeting her. We have a wonderful mutual friend in common. I recommend:

- “Mostly Dead Things” by Kristen Arnett.

- “Single Player” by Tara Tai (her debut novel and I can’t wait to see what she writes next!)

- “Here We Go Again” by Alison Cochrun (a little cheesy but still enjoyable)
