We also get Bekker’s point of view throughout the story. What stood out for you about him? How affected was he because of the drug use? Were they the source of this psychopathy or was it there with or without the drugs? Did his position as a doctor make it more difficult to stop his behavior?

In m opinion, Bekker was a psychopath before the drugs, but the drugs make him more dangerous. It is easier to hide behind his MD than a person who isn't in healthcare.

I couldn't believe that Bekker could function with all that stuff in his system. I suppose he must have built up a tolerance over time, but he was really pushing it when he zoned out for periods of time.
