Remember the 2014 April's Fool on goodreads -- the "lost" Jane Austen work Mirth and Mischief?
At the time, I thought that actually, it sounded kinda neat, but on reflection, I'm not sure that sounds like an Austen novel. Especially when you consider that "mischief" had (I think) a considerably nastier edge at the time. Mind you, she could do quite nasty, as in Love and Freindship, but not exactly mischievous types.
Could Jane Austen have written a Mirth and Mischief? If she did, what would it have been like?
