The Tic-Tac-Toe Reading Challenge is a fun and strategic game that combines the thrill of reading with the excitement of competition. Just like the classic game of Tic-Tac-Toe, we'll engage in a battle of wits to complete reading tasks and achieve victory.
Sign-ups will close on October 31.
The challenge is open-ended.
Rules
1. The challenge consists of a 3x3 grid - marked as shown below, A1-A3, B1-B3, C1-C3. Each cell corresponds to a selection of 3 reading tasks. In order to complete a cell, you'll read a book that fits one of the 3 reading tasks.
2. As with classic Tic-Tac-Toe, the aim is to complete three cells in a row, column, or diagonal to win the game.
3. You will be reading a book for every cell selected in the grid, both for your selections and for your opponent's.
4. The challenge consists of two games played consecutively. The first round is used to determine who goes first in the first game. The roles will then be reversed for the second game.
5. Join the fun! Comment here to sign up and I will create a challenge thread for you.
6. If you feel stuck, you have 1 free skip. Let me know in the thread that you will use it, and instead, read a book that meets the guidelines. If you need more than 1 skip, you can use 5 points to get a new skip.
7. A maximum of 3 skips are allowed per challenge.
8. Once you finished a task, please make a completion post in your thread using this template:
Book:
Author:
Date completed:
Task:
How it fits:
Additionally, when it's your turn to make a move, please add to your post

9. For every completed task, 2 points are granted.
10. If you don't have a personal point account yet, please head over to point account request thread to get yours set up!
Let the games begin!
