2-3-4 Challenge discussion

Post a list of books you plan on reading during the month and pair up with others who are also interested in reading the same ones.

When you have your buddy or buddies, create a thread in this folder with the title of the book and the author. Set a date, read, discuss and have fun (that's an order!)

The more the merrier so don't be shy about joining in an existing buddy read :0)

To start things off, here are the books I'm planning on reading this month and I'd love to buddy read. Reading together always give me incentive :0)

I'm up to book 4 in the Maisie Dobbs series but would be happy to buddy up when (or if!) you get to it.

I'm at book 4 too for Maisie so will join in with you ladies whenever you get to it :)

I am also one book behind on Kate Castillo's series. If I can get to it this month I will buddy read with you.

I am on Hotwire for Kava but can try to squeeze it in this month if you can wait. No worries if you can't..

None of these are set in stone so I'm more than happy to wait and I'll catch up with Maisie Dobbs in the meantime.

I'm in two team challenges so I'm having problems fitting any buddy reads. :(

I'll also be listening to - we need to ask Jonetta when she wants to start.

I'm up to so I can buddy read it with you when you get to it.

I saw in another thread that you are starting - have you begun yet? I need to read a challenge book first but I can get to that one after. Let me know.

I just started but am only 3 chapters in and can totally read something else in the meantime...just let me know when you start!

I've created a thread for the Karen Rose book and will set one up for the Cynthia Eden book now. I'm so excited to read the last one in that series!

Same here, Lauren! Yes, I've been wanting to read this one for awhile but it's suffered the last book in the series curse lol.

I know all about that curse. I have no idea why I keep putting off the last book in a series. Maybe its because I don't want it to end :0(

I've got one more audiobook ahead of Every Which Way But Dead before I can begin. It will be towards the latter part of the month, at least after the 15th.

If you want to go ahead and start, don't feel obligated to wait. Are you wanting to do a "discuss as you read" or discussion questions?

I'll be finishing an audio tomorrow and can fit in one more before the 15th, so that's fine with me.

I like the questions format but am also good with commenting as we go.

I can wait too and am good with either format :)

Anyone interested in reading the last book in the Wildefire series, Midnight Shadows by Ella Grace? It will knock off the last book in a series goal:) I have it scheduled for May.

Oh, I'm definitely in for Midnight Shadows. This is a book I've been waiting forever for. I'm excited to discuss it!

Great! I have two audiobooks to finish first, so I will probably only get to it toward the end of the month.

The questions format in the 2-3-4 Discussion group will be best, I think, because you may be done by the time I start. So, if we do it this way then anyone who reads or listens can comment whenever they get to it :0)

OK, I did buddy reads unaware :)

One thing I cannot do is the series of questions, so I'll be happy to wait for the discussion until Lauren (?) sets them up for us. Many thanks, and looking forward to it.

I just read in another group that Audible seems to be getting ready for a new sale! And I checked my WL and everything has a sale price!

It's most likely a 25% discount on the Member price, which is bringing a lot of my WL books under $10. I see spending a lot of money on Audible on my near future!

I'll watch to see when the buddies here begin to read the Linda Castillo book . I just got it from the public library and I will read it when you do, since my memory slips from one book to the next one I read. It's like having Swiss Cheese sometimes, and I'd rather be right up to date when the group questions come up for discussion :)

Last month the 1-Click was not a blessing as I spent way too much. But in my defense when they offer a favorite author's entire backlist for either $.99 or $1.99 each what's a girl to do? LOL

This month I'm a little slower to click. I bought the Ella Grace because it was a good deal. I think if I can get an ebook for less than $5 it's a good deal.

I agree, Christina. That's a good price point.
