Lucas becomes involved with Cassie Lasch, an actress at the Lost River Theater and shares vital information about the investigation with her. She later tells others at the theater those details. Why was Lucas so careless? When, if ever, did you suspect she’d be killed?

I had no idea why Lucas was explaining his crime wall to her and giving her updates. It was certainly careless of him, but she should have been able to keep those confidences, too.

I suspected her death as soon as Lucas became involved with her. Lucas isn't himself. Also, I think he is used to his women keeping their mouth shut. However, he is with crime reports who are protecting a source. Cassie is an actress who loves drama. She was foolish for talking.
