Sam and her extended family are attending the Washington Federals baseball game, the last game in the season. If they win, they win the division championship and go to the World Series. They are one out away when the ball goes to star centerfielder Willie Vasquez who takes his eyes off the ball for a second…and drops it. The crowd revolts and there’s rioting everywhere. Did the city’s reaction surprise you? Have you seen this before in real life?

Didn't surprise me. It happens in real life to a degree.

Win, they riot. Lose, they riot. Some a-holes look for any excuse to destroy that which they didn't build.

I see this on the news all the time and cannot understand this kind of violence. It's supposed to be a game. Whatever happened to good sportsmanship?

I cannot understand this extreme behavior. It's, unfortunately, not just sports outcomes that embody such extreme reactions.
