Stahl leaks to Darren Tabor that Willie’s body was found in a dumpster. What was his motive in doing this? We know he has it in for Sam but is his bad attitude going well beyond just her? Were they justified in taking his badge and suspending this guy? Did you ever anticipate that he’d attack Sam?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments Stahl's motive would have been to jam up Sam and make it more difficult for her to solve the case. They were right in suspending him. This was a very high profile; volatile case and the whole department was under a gag order. I didn't see him attacking Sam.

I was very disappointed that this is Stahl's end. I thought Force would be much more creative with his exit.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments He didn't want Sam to solve another high-profile case. The easiest way to throw a wrench in the works was to leak that Willie had been found in a dumpster.

I was very surprised when Stahl attacked Sam. I didn't see it coming.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I agree. Stahl is doing everything he can to prevent Sam from solving another big case.

I was surprised with the attack. The man is sick.

I agree with Anita that this isn't the way I expected for Stahl's end. I am disappointed.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments Maybe this isn't the end of Stahl. I was expecting something a lot more intriguing and diabolical. This was so anticlimactic for all the effort Force has put into their conflict.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1803 comments Stahl is a classic misogynist and he could not stand Sam's success. It actually started to affect his sanity and his informing Darren of the body as well as his attack on Sam are evidence of his psychological deterioration.

He deliberately and maliciously undermined a police investigation - his suspension was 100% warranted.

I was surprised by the physical attack - it seemed out of character, but in hindsight it makes sense that his mental state would lead to the escalation after the suspension.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments I agree with Anita -- I'm not sure we've seen the end of Stahl, remembering Sam's ex and his shenanigans.

I was in no way surprised that Stahl was the leak; he had to be deranged to call from HQ.

I did not expect a direct attack on Sam in her doorway, but I did think that he would try to shoot her or something like that.
