MAY 2024 TASKS


ONE POINT TASKS

1.1 MOTHER'S DAY
Take it easy, enjoy the day with a delightful BOOK of your choice.

1.2 NATIONAL RESCUE DOG DAY
Read a book with a dog on the cover (show cover) -or- the letters DOG in the title.

1.3 CELEBRATE THE AUTHOR: HIM VS HER
This month its MICHAEL KORYTA VS JODI PICOULT
Read a book by one of these Authors.

1.4 BUZZWORD
This month the buzzword is EVERY.
Read a book with EVERY in the title. You can also use words like EVERYONE, EVERYTHING, etc......

1.5 READ THE ALPHABET
Read a book that it's TITLE starts with the LETTER E
(exclude A, An, or The) -OR- Author's FIRST/ LAST name starts with the LETTER E.
BONUS POINT: If the title & Author's FIRST/LAST name starts with E.

1.6 International Museum Day
Read a book where the Main Character visited a museum or an art gallery.

1.7 (Bethany's task) May 9th is National Lost Sock Memorial Day
In remembrance of all the socks lost in the dryer or elsewhere, read a book with a sock visible on the cover (show cover) OR the authors' initials are in LOST SOCK

1.8 (Linda C’s task) Lilac Sunday – 2nd Sunday in May
Rochester, NY has a Lilac Festival in Highland Park every May. The Park designed by Frederick Law Olmstead has more than 700 varieties in a wide range of color from white to deep purple.

Read a book with a lilac on the cover (show cover) or that has a lilac colored cover (more than 60%)
For this task use the formal definition of the Lilac color - pale purple with tones of pink, pinky purple or purply pink.

1.9 (Tessa's Task) International No Diet Day
Read a book with a sweet treat on the COVER. (Post the cover image)

1.10 (Marilyn's Task) Mother's Day
Mother's Day is bittersweet, remembering my mom.
Read a book with a mom as a main character OR a book whose author's first or last name starts with any letter in her name, Sara Louise.

1.11 (Diana S's Task) STAR WARS DAY
Read a book with STARS on the cover (show cover) -or- a character who is a Father (Dad) in the story.

Read a book that has an elderly (senior citizen) as its main character.
