My library has a copy, so I will try to pick it up. (I already added Ali Hazelwood to my Spotify audio list.)

I haven't read anything by Wax either, just Waxman as well. So it will be a first for both of us.
I hope you like Hazelwood. Love, Theoretically was a bit more spicy than books we read previously, but at least it was all concentrated in one part of the book. Alissa and Lindsey and I are reading her recent YA book, Check & Mate, in June. We'd love to have you join us if you're interested! :-)

Yay! I have it already, but I think I'll be able to wait until the end of the week or the beginning of next when you all have the book. I hope we like this one!

I've got it also. I hope we really like it!

Wonderful, Linda! So happy you're joining us. I hope you like Happy Place too. Lindsey and I are looking forward to reading that one later in the summer. Happy reading!

Nice! I am going to start tomorrow or Friday! I hope we like this one!

I'm about 26% in, just starting Chapter 12, but I will slow down and wait for the rest of you to start. There's something that just happened that I want to ask about. :-)

Do you have a favorite point of view? I like all of the ladies, but if I was forced to pick just one, it might be Jazmine.

So far I like all of the ladies. Right now Jasmine seems a bit out of place just because (view spoiler)

Regarding your spoiler, yes! I was shocked too. I like how this author is taking what we expect to happen with these characters and turning it on its head. The trajectory of each of their lives have been dramatically changed.

Yes, I think you're right about her story being the most different from the other three. Maybe why it sticks out so much. I like all of the ladies too. And some of their friends! Meena is so funny.

Linda, about Judith in Chapter 12 (view spoiler)
I'm having a hard time putting this book down. I'm at Chapter 21 right now and Erin (view spoiler)

Right, we are expecting all the things to happen, up but the way it’s all happening!!! 😬

And you are so right, this book is really good!"
Yes! I thought the exact same thing about it not ending well, but certainly did not expect what happened to actually happen.

I agree with your spoiler. I really like Sara as a character. She's been through so much and yet she is resilient. She seems sweet, but she is super tough.

Same. What happened to her is what we all have nightmares about happening to us. It's just awful.

This bookstore sounds glorious and I wish it were real!

I agree, that bookstore sounds amazing!!!

I loved everyone too. This is definitely a book I wouldn't have picked up on my own, but I really enjoyed it!

So true!!!!

I agree! I loved this one and glad I joined you ladies on reading it!>

I'm so glad you joined us too, Linda. Loved reading your thoughts, it makes reading so much more fun.

I liked Dorothy too. I cringed when (view spoiler)

I never watched Downtown Abbey. I know, I know. I don't watch many shows. So I'd be interested in what you think about the book. Do I need to watch the show first?
I did discover that my library has quite a few of her other books on audiobook, including the Ten Beach Road series, which seems very popular. Hmmm.

Breakups, like book clubs, come in many shapes and sizes and can take us on unexpected journeys as four women discover in this funny and heartwarming exploration of friendship from the USA Today bestselling author of Ten Beach Road and My Ex-Best Friend’s Wedding.
On paper, Jazmine, Judith, Erin and Sara have little in common – they’re very different people leading very different lives. And yet at book club meetings in an historic carriage house turned bookstore, they bond over a shared love of reading (and more than a little wine) as well as the growing realization that their lives are not turning out like they expected.
Former tennis star Jazmine is a top sports agent balancing a career and single motherhood. Judith is an empty nester questioning her marriage and the supporting role she chose. Erin’s high school sweetheart and fiancé develops a bad case of cold feet, and Sara’s husband takes a job out of town saddling Sara with a difficult mother-in-law who believes her son could have done better – not exactly the roommate most women dream of.
With the help of books, laughter, and the joy of ever evolving friendships, Jazmine, Judith, Erin and Sara find the courage to navigate new and surprising chapters of their lives as they seek their own versions of happily-ever-after.
