The person of Dorian Gray represents the accomplishments of all of humanity, not just one group, or one person. The grand reconstructing of the Natural World into a viable piece of real estate available for any type of activity ranging from residential to farming, commercial to relaxation, and of course industrial pursuits. Everything people do.

The portrait represents the Natural World, bearing all the scars as it is continually run into the ground, cleaned of biodiversity, replaced by wonderous gleamings of impeccable architecture, civilized spaces. As the monuments and arts of humanity grows by leaps and bounds, the Natural World receives outrageous slings and arrows as shown in The Picture Of Dorian Gray.
