I think I'm going to concentrate my votes on the Goodreads Choice Awards. That's another challenge that I do every year and it would help to have it as a prompt. I also want a book over 500 pages since I'm trying to read longer books. I also love Sci-Fi books so I feel that is a good prompt for me.

Marie | 1062 comments I don't usually do the read-a-thons, as I'm not a fast reader, but I'm five books behind and I've got a few fairly easy reads coming up, so hopefully this will be the motivation I need!

I have a feeling the books I'll be reading next won't fit any of the prompts I like, but that's a problem for another day :)

First up will be my next Murderbot book, since my library hold just came in:

Network Effect (The Murderbot Diaries, #5) by Martha Wells

First book done - read first 1/3 on Saturday, then managed over 200 pages on Sunday to get it finished.

Next up:

The Talented Mr Ripley (Ripley, #1) by Patricia Highsmith

Read that in two days! Still don't know what prompts I'm voting for with either of these. The next one though, that fits perfectly with a prompt I like:

Nighthawking by Russ Thomas

Halfway through Friday, and that's finished, should still be time for one more since it's a short one:

This is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar

And it's decision time for the prompts:

Something tilted or upside down on the cover
Network Effect
The Talented Mr Ripley
This is How You Lose the Time War
Lock or key on the cover
Nighthawking

It's almost 11pm, I've just finished Time War and that's me done! I'm pretty proud of getting through four books in seven days, that's possibly something I've never done before. I've not turned the TV on in a week, which definitely helped, but I really need to watch the latest Doctor Who, so I'm glad this is over :)
