The first of a currently 4 book series Three Body Problem started on Netflix March 21st. It is billed as an Adventure, Drama, Fantasy, Mystery, and Sci-Fi series with 8 episodes. This is it's first season.

Trivia
Show-runners, producers and writers Benioff and Weiss stated in 2024 they intend to adapt Cixin Liu's 'Remembrance of Earth's Past' book trilogy into a total of at most 4 seasons.

Goofs
Upon viewing the series, it is evident the storyline refers to a "3-Body Problem" (or "Three-Body Problem").

Grammatically, the phrase is nonsensical without the necessary hyphen.

Added thanks to Karina - who alerted me to this series.

Ruby Grad (rubygrad) | 50 comments I watched the first season and really liked it. It is beautifully done and the acting was good. I haven't read any of the books, and a friend who has said this series is very different, as the first book takes place in China and the series is set in the U.K.

Karina T. | 2 comments I read ‘3 body problem’ which is a book #1 in trilogy series “The remembrance of Earth’s past”.
The book was great, and I loved it. I also watched the complete 1st season of the show on Netflix.
I think it’s fair to say that the show was really inspired by the book. As Ruby said in the previous comment- majority of the events in the show take place in UK rather than in China. However, in the book most of the events take place in China. I’ve heard there was a backlash over this from some viewers. Not sure why to be upset about this, since Netflix is banned in China. And the books weren’t adapted to the t, rather inspired the series. I loved the show regardless. Not ashamed to say Ive rewatched it 3 times now lol.
Anyway, as of the whole idea about existence of other intelligent life out there- I totally believe it and it makes full sense to me. Humanity can’t be the only one out there. The universe is way too vast for us to be alone… which is so fascinating to me. I hope in my lifetime to learn that there’s is another form of intelligent life in our universe…
