A few things I hope to get to for some GR challenges:
For June :

Pam—I see you have You Belong to Me by Karen Rose on your June TBR list. I've read this book and enjoyed it a lot. I hope you enjoy it too :-) If you like you could also check out Death is Not Enough. It's from the same series (Baltimore). It's also very good. I also recommend the Cincinnati books, especially Closer Than You Think, Alone in the Dark, and Edge of Darkness. You Can't Hide is worth checking out as well. I believe it's part of the Chicago series. Actually, most of her books are great. Melinda Leigh is another favourite. I've read and enjoyed several books by her. I'm looking forward to reading her Bree Taggert series. Hopefully soon.

Xee—The Blue Castle by L.M. Montgomery is on my TBR list too. Not for this month but hopefully soon. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it once you've read it. Have you read this author's Anne of Green Gables series? If not then I suggest you check it out. All the eight books are awesome :-)

Thanks, Karen. To meet my commitments to NetGalley, Authors, etc., I have to keep myself somewhat organized. However, I can be lured by a shiny new book that I missed and then have to make decisions on whether or not to accept widgets. But that is just me. If we enjoy what we read, then that is what is important.

Sometimes I also get tempted into reading books other than what I'd planned. It's worth it though as I love discovering new authors I can enjoy. It makes me happy to think I'll never run out of good books to read. Lol. But at the same time, I was getting a little overwhelmed by my ever-increasing TBR list. So I tried to make it more focused and streamlined. I thought dividing it into smaller, manageable sections might help and it did. Ever since I started planning a month by month TBR list, I feel I'm better able to focus on books I can really enjoy. That's just me though. I realise this approach might not be for everyone.

I continually add to my Goodreads shelves, but also I add to a spreadsheet called commitments and opportunities. The commitments are ARCs I've been approved for / widgets downloaded / Read now's that have been downloaded plus any commitments I've made to read author's books or books that I've won in giveaways, etc. Opportunities are ARC's I have received widgets for but not yet accepted, but would like to + ARCs I want to read but haven't requested approval yet. This spreadsheet stays around 90 books.

On the other hand, my GR want-to-read shelf is out of control. I need to go through it, but that takes away from reading and reviewing time. I also have books I have purchased over the years that I want to read, but haven't gotten around to them yet. My last count was a ridiculous 4,164 books. Most of these aren't on my GR TBR shelf.

I will never run out of books to read.

Wow. That's certainly a lot of books to read :-)

My Goodreads want-to-read shelf currently contains 27 books but it's not at all a true reflection of my TBR list.

I record my TBR books by listing down the authors I enjoy along with their books that I wish to read.
For example:
Contemporary Mystery Thriller with Romantic Subplot authors
1) Stacy Green
(Books TBR: Nikki Hunt Book #4 onwards and Standalone Book: Into the Devil's Underground)
2) D.K. Hood
(Books TBR: Detectives Kane and Alton Book #4 onwards)
3) Lisa Regan
(Books TBR: Detective Josie Quinn Book #7 onwards)
And so on...

Then there's an additional list of new-to-me authors I wish to try. I have nearly 60 unread books by such authors on my kindle. Some books were recommended to me and the others appealed to me when I was browsing around.

I'm not sure about the exact number of my TBR books but it should easily be around 2000.

So technically, if I read 10 to 12 books per month, I will run out of books to read in about 15 years. Lol.

However, many of the authors I enjoy regularly publish new books. Plus I keep finding new authors and their books to add to my list. So, like you said:

"I will never run out of books to read."

I am not as organized in my reading as y'all. I know some of you--I'm thinking of you, Pam! :o)--have to be organized because of the reviews you do, etc. I'm more of a seat-of-your-pants reader. I read what I want when I want.

All I know for sure I'm going to read are new entries in favorite series when I see they're issued. I have a file of things I want to read, but they usually wind up taking a back seat to new things that catch my eye.

I'm a bit more organized--"bit" being the operative word--in my mystery reading. I do a cozy mystery reading challenge each year so I have a better idea of what's in my mystery files, what I want to read/catch up on, and when new additions in my favorite series are coming. I'm not as easily swayed by a "pretty face" (description) as I can be with romance so most new-to-me mysteries tend to be TBRed rather than interrupting what I'm reading. Still, I don't have a set list of what I'm going to read, just an idea of what I want to read.
