Marie | 21 comments Getting lots of reading done but all in letters I already have. With only 8 to go I figure plenty of time (may even end up doing it twice), and I have titles planned for all the letters except Y. Anyone any Y mystery suggestions?

Patricia I noticed that you had a couple of Charles Todd books. I've wanted to read him but I wasn't sure where to begin. Any suggestion or recommendation would be appreciated. :)

Marie | 21 comments Hi Pat, Yes I like the Charles Todd books. There are 2 series set around and after WWI. The Nurse Bess Crawford series & the Inspector Ian Rutledge one. I like the Inspector Rutledge one best. Although you can read any independently I would recommend starting with #17,'A Fine Summer’s Day' to meet Rutledge before the war, then move on to #1 'A Test of Wills' to meet him after 1918. A major aspect of this series is that Rutledge suffers from PTSD which does improve over time. This is a mother and son writing team who write alternate chapters but you would never guess that from the writing. I hope you enjoy them. cheers Marie

With the Bess Crawford series I think it starts to hit it's stride best from # 3 A Bitter Truth.
