The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
question
Does anyone think the ending deserved more?

I think I could have gone on for longer. I wish we could have seen more of how he became president.

I loved the ending at the time of reading, and I also loved it in the movie. However, my parents commented after watching the movie with me that it didn't feel quite realistic that Snow would go absolutely ballistic and try to kill Lucy Gray, and they're not wrong.
I agree but Snow might have been more arrogant and power hungry back then. Now that he had power he probably relaxed more.
I really enjoyed the ending, it felt very well written, but the movie didn't adapt it too well in my opinion. It felt slower, and more calculated. In the book it seemed like Coriolanus was irrational and completely going off the deep end, not methodical like the movie.
I didn't personally like it. I prefer endings that give decent enough closure and I felt like this one didn't. I had so many questions left unanswered by the end. I also felt like the book did a huge disservice to Lucy Gray by not even giving her a full concluding ending. It made it feel like she was just a pointless character put there to drive Snow mad or to make us readers understand his hatred for Katniss, but she was such a prominent character that it seemed odd to not even give her an ending.
