What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

My friend and I were both fans of Anne McCaffrey's Pern series and both own the book "A Diversity of Dragons." My friend swears when the book first came out, there was another edition, same title and format, but written for a younger audience. I have been trying for years to find if this is true and information about the title - eg - ISBN so I can search sites to find her a copy for her collection. I have not been able to find any information. This friend has a good memory, especially when it comes to books she's seen/read. That is why I haven't dismissed it as a mistake on her part. Has anyone else heard of or seen another edition of "A Diversity of Dragons" or know anything about it? Thank you for any suggestions or assistance.

Thank you. I thought it belonged here because she states the title is the same, but I personally do not know.

There was apparently an edition published at the end of December 1996 by "Atheneum Books for Young Readers." Can't seem to find much information about it.
