Searching for his name results in a list ( https://www.goodreads.com/search?q=ga... ) with 713 results and clicking the first available Gary Davis in that list - the second book - leads me to this profile ( https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... ) where it is noted:
Librarian Note: There is more than one author by this name in the Goodreads database.

What is the easiest way to find the various Gary Davises and how to identify the one of NSW, Australia?

According to the author's website (linked in the request) this seems to be his only/first book.

The best way to find all authors with the same name, is to go to the 'similar names' page, that can be found on:
- the edit page of non-GR authors
- at the right hand side of the combine page of all authors
(And you find the author from a search, or through the add book/author function that is at the top of the box where you type a comment in a group)

According to this list (Ctrl-F is your friend here), there are three Gary Davis profiles, 1 space, 2 space and 4 space.

These all have the note: Librarian Note: There is more than one author by this name in the Goodreads database.
None of these profiles have a bio or a genre, which makes it hard to determine which author this actually is.

The 'similar names' page for each author profile is what helps here to find the other profiles. Link can be found both on the profile edit page and on the right side of the combine page.

It can still be messy, as in this case with incorrectly listed names that just happen to start with 'Gary' and have somewhere also 'Davis' in them.

For Gary Davis you can find there three profiles with 1, 2 and 4 spaces (so the 3-space profile disappeared or was skipped.)
The indicator for the number of spaces works only for the spaces between the last word of the name and the one before. If there are extra spaces at an other place that isn't shown here. (Those are either multiple word surnames or mistakes)

I did not take the trouble (yet) to read this authors website and had not seen this concerns his only/first book.

Given the fact that the three-space profile is missing, I'll see if I can add the book using this (new to create) profile and I'll make sure I'll enter the same Librarian Note. Furthermore I'll try and add any relevant info that can be found on his website.

BTW, do you use a certain system to save and relocate this sort of valuable additional info and tips? II'm a fairly new librarian (since Sept. 2022) and am still struggling to find back things that I once read and would like to re-read when opportune.

Most I've learned myself by doing edits. And a brain that tends to remember these things.
