Read this today and enjoyed it. It reminded me of The Westing Game but with less puzzles and more adult, or Knives Out with less family. Took me a couple chapters on audio to realize we were dealing with two timelines. It was actually the voices of the two narrators that twigged me on to the fact, before realizing the dates at the start of each chapter or even the different MC names.

Makes me want to shake a fist at other books that have rotating 1st person narratives. See! This is how you do it! I'm looking at you, Spinning Silver, Moxyland!

The plot was pleasantly twisty, (view spoiler)[though the characters were a bit thin. Only a few people stood out to me as individuals. I liked the details--from the poison, to the diary and files, Annie's panic attacks, and how Aunt Frances's paranoia actually saved a young girl's life. The peeping boy turning into a shady man. And three mysteries--two murders and a pregnancy, and an unexpected ending. (hide spoiler)]
