Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I didn't understand why Mel would do that. Revenge on Gwyn? That is the only reason I can come up with. Mel only had feelings for himself, he was a true sociopath. He was able to fake feelings but really didn't have any. Connor was just a tool for his revenge.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments At first, I thought Mel just didn't want to be caught, so he sent someone in his place to pick up Connor. Then I realized that it was just a ploy to hurt Gwen. Mel didn't care what happened to Connor, he was just luring him away from his mother.
