Examples could range from Three Pines in the series by Louise Penny to Narnia.

Edinburgh isn’t fictional. Trust me I have been there

message 5: by Thomas (new)

Thomas Narnia. Or Hogsmaid. Possibly Avonlea but keep away from Mrs Barry

I think the Pye's were worst. Rachel had her heart in the right place.

J Austill | 1116 comments Denise wrote: "I would like to visit Wonderland (as in Alice in) and Neverland (Peter Pan)"

I don't think I'd want to go anywhere near Neverland. In the book, the death rate there is essentially 100% over a certain age. And I am well above that age.

Pern is an excellent choice. Xanth is a magical paradise (and any children born there get a magical power). I think I'd like to visit the world of The Culture if not only for the universal healthcare.

Excellent point. But I just want to visit, not stay.

Shannon SA (shannonsa) | 673 comments My daughter's choice: Gotham City! Mine, the Shire :)

message 20: by Marie (new)

Marie | 9 comments Narnia would be wonderful to visit, I think. The Shire would be lovely. I think Asimov's Foundation would be an interesting place to visit, too.

message 21: by Katherine (new)

Katherine | 230 comments I want to teach at Hogwarts (or just go there as a student.)

message 22: by Odette (new)

Odette (odman) | 46 comments Piranesi's house in Piranesi. It sounds a wonderful world with endless rooms and halls to explore, many statues, and rising and falling tides. Then there is the mystery to solve of why he is there.

message 23: by Kayleigh (new)

Kayleigh | 107 comments The Discworld, though I might avoid Ankh-Morpork.

I haven't read this book, but it is now on my way-too-long TBR list!

message 27: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 3 comments Hogwarts. I always wanted to go there ever since seeing the movies and now that I am reading the books the want has grown.

message 28: by Tracy (new)

Tracy | 2978 comments The circus at the end of The Night Circus

Maybe on the ship of The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet, just to hang out with the crew. Oh, and maybe to experience a worm hole (I think that's the term that was used).
