James Morcan shelved 4 of his own books on June 6, 2014, which I've now removed from the bookshelf, but wanted to preserve here in lieu of the bookshelf. The books were #1, 2, and 3 of a trilogy published 2011 through 2013, and the 4th was the box set of 1-3. It appears he co-authored these with father Lance Morcan.

Based on the summaries, the books are about "orphans", numbered 1 through 23, who are assassins on the international level. Their parent agency uses MK-Ultra mind control technology on genetically engineered agents, but agent Nine manages to go rogue.

I did not read The Orpha Trilogy, but ... for what it's worth ... it reminds of Hitman: Agent 47 which was an decent 2015 action film based on the video game series Hitman, the first of which was Hitman: Codename 47 which came out in 2000.

It also reminds me of Hanna, which was a good TV series about CIA girl assassins on Prime Video between in 2019, 2020, and 2021. The series was based on the 2011 movie Hanna.
