My book is..."
William, after six people have submitted their names and book titles, a schedule will be posted. There are two halves to it; the first half will assign your book to a reviewer, and also list a book for you to review. The second half will be the same, but with others assigned. Take a look at this for an example: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Sounds great. Thank you for taking the time to clarify. Much appreciated.

The way these groups work, Doug, you need to have a reviewable work listed on Goodreads to participate. There are other, more general groups out there, though. They just take some searching for.

Please add Deneb by Pearson Moore.
Deneb is an epic tale of culture clash set in three distinct time periods spanning 46,000 years of human history, from Neandertals to the 21st century to the 30th century, pitting seven different cultures against each other. The objective is the salvation of humanity. Deneb contains frequent above-the-waist nudity, six relatively graphic scenes of sexuality, frequent scenes of battle and death, one rape scene, and several characters use coarse language. At 267,000 words, with hundreds of named characters, with a full 7800-word conlang (constructed language) created for the novel, and 34 full-color, full-page paintings commissioned for the novel, and an epic poem (The Tekval Kan Enu Oktnam) to set the tone, Deneb is a true epic in every sense.

Thanks,
Kathy

Please assign me some sci-fi that is NOT militaristic/war-filled ad more speculative/visionary/social sci-fi.
Thanks!

This is the Science Fiction review group, which will include fiction of novel or novella length (20,000 words and up) that falls within the science fiction genre. As with other review groups, you will be expected to read and give an honest review of the books assigned to you.
Participants are expected to post reviews to Goodreads. If the review is positive (three stars or higher on Amazon), the review should be posted to Amazon as well, if the book is available there. This makes having accounts with both Goodreads and Amazon.com a requirement. The author and reviewer can discuss other sites to post reviews as well -- Barnes & Noble, Smashwords, etc.
This topic will be updated with the list of authors as they sign up with their names and Goodreads links to their books. First come; first serve. This is an authors only peer review group.
If a reviewer and the author agree that the review should not be posted to Goodreads due to quality issues, the reviewer is relieved of the requirement of posting the review. This is entirely at the discretion of the reviewer and is not intended in any way to manipulate the rating of any book.
*** UPDATE ***
Okay, as of 4/7/15 we have six people signed up for this group. The schedule and assignments are posted below. If I've overlooked any conflicts (ex: R. Leib and Pearson Moore have already reviewed one another's works before, and so can't be paired off again, etc.)please call it to my attention. Contact the authors you are scheduled to review to arrange to receive a review copy of their work.
Please post to this topic, both when you receive review copies and when you post the reviews.
If you are going to be late with your review, either post to this topic as soon as possible or message the author and the moderator.
If your book has not been reviewed by the deadline for either round, contact the review group moderator. This is necessary to make certain that the review process is fair for everyone.
