This thread is where you can chat about all things PIFM, ask questions and once books have been read, review your selected reads. A complete free for all.

PLEASE NOTE:

PIFM is meant to be FUN and not to be taken seriously. I would appreciate it if all participants just chilled and not get worked up about voting, who votes, who doesn't, etc. Please bear in mind that some will just want to vote, many don't come on everyday and most of us have time constraints. I just want a relaxed approach to it all and for you all to just enjoy the process! I'd really appreciate your courtesy in this matter. Many thanks.

Linda Liske | 8 comments In July 2024 I am reading Look Closer by David Ellis. I almost DNF because it was getting kind of long winded, but suddenly at 25% it REALLY started to get interesting! Now I won’t be letting it go until I hear the whole story. Good one.

I quit Middle of the Night by Riley Sager because it was going nowhere and my contributors from FB Thriller Pages were complaining that the whole book went nowhere. Life is too short (and I’m old). I loved some of Riley Sanger’s books: Lock Every Door, Home Before Dark, The Only One Left, The Last Time I Lied…but not this one.

I also read Freida McFaddens Dead Med….I love her. I love action (not depression) and her twisty mind keeps me hanging on her every word. She is my favorite author. I know some say her books are YA but that must describe 73 yo me bc I’m her biggest fan.

I also enjoyed The New Mrs Parrish by Liv Constantine. She is a good author, I won’t pass up her books—ever!

Linda

PS : is this what you are supposed to write on this page?

Eruption
Eruption by Michael Crichton

4 stars
Disaster novel. Crichton's unpublished manuscripts completed by James Patterson.
Possibly one of the biggest collaborations of the year.
2024 release
