Theresa | 15522 comments Billie, Helen, Natalie and Mary Alice are being treated to an all expense paid luxury cruise in the Caribbean as a retirement gift for 40 years of excellent service. It's to be spa treatments, endless food and beverages, a time to relax and catch up with each other. Except... that's not quite what happens. You see, our 4 'old broads' are trained assassins, having spent 40 years working for a secret independent organization called the Museum. Only now it looks like the Museum has put a hit out on them.

I absolutely loved this; it was entertaining, fun, and celebrates mature women. Loved the places it took us - New Orleans, Paris and its catacombs, Zanzibar, a decrepit manor in England. They may have hot flashes, drooping tits, aching knees and backs, but they are still highly trained elite assassins and they are not easy to kill. In fact, the tables will be turned, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Looking forward to the next featuring these fearless women.

Olivermagnus (lynda11282) | 4766 comments I thought this was such a fun read. I love books with older protagonists that are not stereotypes and a bit outside the box.

I am glad you enjoy her so much, as I did urge you to read the first Veronica Speedwell - because she reminded me of you!
