3 narrators received the Golden Voice award - Dominic Hoffman, Robert Petkoff and Kate Reading (just noticed she has the perfect name for a narrator!) There's a little about the history of audiobooks and the different styles of narration.

AudioFile Mag | 2248 comments Yes indeed, AudioFile Magazine announced on June 3, 2024 (message 1326: by AudioFile) “announced "AudioFile's Golden Voices: The Golden 50" https://bit.ly/4c5P3W0

We're thrilled to introduce the 2024 Golden Voices, though they will likely be familiar names—or voices—for many of you. Congratulations to Dominic Hoffman, Kate Reading, and Robert Petkoff, this year's new Golden Voices!

We're celebrating the Golden Voice narrators all June. Their recordings, their performances are the cream on top of amazing audio books. One of the great skills of great narrators like our Golden Voices is their ability to turn in memorable performances across a wide variety of genres. The article "AudioFile's Golden Voices: The Golden 50" https://bit.ly/4c5P3W0 proves our point.

There will be podcasts, long interviews, and so much more. Listen to our podcasts https://audiofilemagazine.com/podcast/

AudioFile Magazine keeps you informed about narrators and their performances on our Goodreads feed under Audiobooks/AudioFilemagazine “Latest from AudioFile” and “AudioFile Roundtable”

Thanks for sharing a Washington Post article about audiobooks.
