I've heard that this is the favorite from the Dark Tower series. My brother is begging me to read this series, so I'm trying to fit it in for some of the weeks. I wasn't crazy about the first one and felt a bit lost. I'm hoping that changes with this one.

The 1st one is a nice introduction but not a good book. I suppose you'll enjoy this one a lot more than the 1st, there are some great ideas inside it and you'll meet the other characters of the series :)

My brother and other readers were right. The second Dark Tower book is much better and less confusing than the first. I'm much more invested in the varied cast of characters. I also love how all of the characters connect to each other. I'm actually eager to read the next one. 4/5
