I don't want to admit how long it took me to notice! 😅
Art deco & groovy both give me some ideas. Originally I was going to photograph some of the more retro covers I own, but I'm a fan of both these art movements.

My daughter is a graphic designer - I wouldn't expect her to design it, but she may be able to give some advice.

& I wish I could make a brag on what she has just achieved! 😁 But she works for one company, so it would be invading her privacy too much.
Let's just say her CEO says hello to her now when he sees her!

I think most of us just look the once, when we join & that is it. I'm a member of one group which has never bothered putting one up.

What does PNW stand for?

So what does everyone think? It was hard finding anything big enough. If you look closely you will see some white figures with their heads cut off - does that bother anyone?
Edit; ok it was bothering me! Now just one of the figures has part of her head missing.
& I have saved Tadiana's old masthead. :)

not if they read the descriptions, however, so it's OK with me.

Jackie--I had the same thought. After all, we do tend to read women writers from the 1930s, '40s, and '50s, as well as the '60s.

Oh good, I'm glad that overall people like it.
For me, it looks better on my Android phone than on my desktop.
What I would like to do is write Retro Reads in a Sixties Font as the Masthead. I'll investigate that this week.
& in the future have an Art Deco Masthead & my original idea of having some retro book covers.
I won't be changing the masthead often though - maybe once a year after I get the 60s one right.

hahaha!
I like the way my lady's colours match the banner!
But I do have a couple of other jpegs of reading ladies who are from earlier eras, if anyone thinks the banner is too sixties.

Would anyone object if I had a go at changing the banner? It won't be happening any time soon - both because I'm a little busy right now & to give members time to give me their thoughts.
Edit - so its clear what I am talking about.
