RabbitMilitia | 338 comments Hi! I'm looking for recommendations for books that feature characters from other books written by a different author- for example- Cosette: The Sequel to Les Miserables or Ahab's Wife, or The Star-Gazer. Any genre/target audience age group is fine. Thanks so much!

MJ | 1613 comments The Kurtherian Gambit series is long (and silly, but fun). It’s written by Michael Anderle. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

… now where most authors say thanks and move on from overly invested fans suggesting, complaining or hyping their books, Michael seems to suggest that they write a spin off and he will fact check to fit into his world. There seems to be heaps of spin-off series floating around.

MJ | 1613 comments 3013: series. Erotica, but the world and characters are great, and the first 10 or so books too. After that they still have great content, but the writing is completely crap and just focused on pumping out another ‘novella/wham bam done’.

It started with 3 writers (leapfrogging books), one of them left the group.

MJ | 1613 comments Are you looking for things like brothers grimm rewrites? Cinderella or Snow White in 2020?

Cate Searson | 16 comments The Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys, an alternative view of Jane Eyre! (sorry I have no idea how to link a book title)

Pamela Love | 1509 comments The Wide Sargasso Sea for the link. Click on "add book/author" on top of the comment box, and then type in the book's title. There may be multiple books with the same or similar titles to go through.

Pony Xaviors (ponyxaviors) | 387 comments New Term at Malory Towers is the first of a sequel series to the original Malory Towers series. The original series was written by Enid Blyton, but the sequel series is written by Pamela Cox. Pamela Cox also continued Enid Blyton's St Clare's series.

KeenReader | 57 comments If retellings count, then Julia by Sandra Newman. It's 1984 told from Julia's point of view.
