Percy Jackson Book Club discussion

Hi! I'm Steffy:) Recently, I've started to analyse the characters and relationships between characters in the books I like as I wanted to understand emotions better and no longer be my awkward, sometime too talkative, sometimes too silent self. I started doing that in my notes app and then I had an idea - maybe people in the book club would like to share their thoughts too and we could have cool deep dives together. So I will share all these little things here in a very formal tone as I have to talk about them in September in front of the whole school (help).

And in case you're curious (like I am) I told my school counselor about this and she told me to speak about these characters at the next presentations about public speaking and understanding other people presentations, so there's that.

We have a topic called “introduce yourself”

Maybe do one about what would have happened if Grover never existed in any aspect of the world and how that would change things (such as finding Pan)

Could we make a deep dive about Hazel? I feel like she has such an interesting past that would be fun to deep dive into!

@gigi idk if Steffy’s gotten that far into HoO, since later all the cool Hazel stuff happens

If Steffy’s ok with me making a deep dive I might, but I think I like how she makes her deep dives, and it’s her idea so I don’t think it’s rlly my place

@ray, Sorry! I didn’t know that they were in the middle of reading HOO! I’m glad you’re considering my idea, but I am 100% willing to wait until they have read all the HOO books, as to not spoil the plot.

@gigi yeah, Steffy makes the deep dives and it’s her thing tbh. She puts everything into words perfectly. And I think to do Hazel good you have to read the whole series, and she hasn’t gotten that far yet

if ray wants to, she can make the one about hazel:)

if you do want me to do it, it’d be in about december because i’m very busy rn and i don’t really have time to finish hoo til winter. the next deep dive will be posted later today and it’s about luke, thalia and annabeth. after that, i’ll talk about parallels between perseus and percy:)
