Okaaay, so the next character I’m analysing is none other than queen Jackson, but I’m on my way back from a trip, so I’ll do the deep dive later today or tomorrow🤗

Sally Jackson's destiny is unfair.
After her parents died when she was just a child, she went out to live with an uncle who didn't really have time to care for her.
During her senior year, he was diagnosed with cancer, so she had to drop out and work some jobs to provide for him. He died and Sally was left alone with no diploma.
She could see through the Mist, which is probably why she caught the Sea God's eye.

They spent a summer together ( august by the incredible Taylor Swift starts playing in the background) which lead in the existence of none other than our favourite seaweed brain - Percy Jackson.
Poseidon obviously broke the oath, so he had to keep Percy and Sally a secret from his brothers, especially Zeus (because we know what happened when he found out about Nico and Bianca and that was before the oath, so imagine), but before he left he advised Sally to get Percy to CHB as monsters are after demigods - especially a demigod whose father is one of the Big Three.
Sally sacrificed her own happiness by marrying Smelly Gabe so his repulsive scent would protect Percy's demigod scent from the monsters.
She had also told Percy that his father was not dead, but lost at sea , which, in hindsight, was a clue about who his father was.
She suffered through a toxic marriage as Gabe would hit her when Percy wasn't around and treat her as a servant. - The Peter Johnson movies have done one thing right and that is portraying Smelly Gabe as the horrible husband and person in general. In the series he was more like an idiot.
But she never lost her ability to stand up for herself as after an argument with him about how food can not be blue, she went out of her way to make blue food.
Although many people in the fandom see this as a Percy thing, it was actually a Sally thing that proved her bravery to stand up to that... person.

She tried to keep Percy close as much as she could, sending him to boarding schools to keep him safe, but in The Lightning Thief after Grover shows up and the minotaur is after them, she realises she has to take him to CHB, so they leave Montauk.
She is captured by the minotaur and taken to the Underworld.
After ten days, her son alongside Grover and Annabeth rescues her by giving Hades back his Helm.
She returns home to Gabe, but turns him to stone with Medusa's head ( after the Olympian gods return it to Percy).

After Smelly Gabe is out of the picture, we see Sally being everyone's mum, by buying Tyson (one of Percy's classmates and friends, a very tall, homeless boy who turns out to be his half brother) clothes and wanting to take them out to buy skateboards as a celebration for Percy making it through a whole year without being expelled.
She worries when Percy disappears from school, but is relieved to find out he's okay.
In the third book (my favourite), she drives Percy, Annabeth and Thalia to a school where Grover found two demigods - Nico and Bianca (there's a deep dive about them if you want to check it out).
In the third book we are introduced to Paul Blofis - Sally's love interest who treats her like the queen she is.
Sally is also trying to find another job and on Percy;s 15th birthday Poseidon visits her and she has to tell Paul that Tyson is not her son after Poseidon calls Tyson 'son'. (I have to mention the fact that both Percy and Poseidon have called Paul blowfish ).
In the fifth book she had recently married Paul and now he knows about Percy's life as a demigod.
Percy shadow travels with Nico to get Sally's blessing to get Achilles' curse and she gives it to him, even though she's anxious for his life.
He promises he'll give her a sign he's alive after the war's over - something blue (which is a parallel to Theseus and his father, but unlike Theseus Percy actually gives his mother the sign - the Empire State Building lit up blue).
She also grabbed a gun from a police officer and fought in the Battle of Manhattan.
She also has a daughter with Paul - Estelle.
And I didn't finish HoO, ToA and Chalice of the gods yet, so I don't know what happens next.

I forgot to mention - she named Percy after Perseus - a son of Zeus - because he has a happy ending and she wishes the same for her son.
